Printing to a HuskyPrint station
You can print to either husky-bw or husky-color from your computer by following the instructions in one our Printing articles. Your print job will then be held in a queue for the day until your release your job at one of the HuskyPrint stations on campus.
Checking your print jobs
You can log in to PaperCut with your Michigan Tech account name and password. You can check if your job is successfully held in the queue by checking Jobs Pending Release. You can also check your Transaction History or Recent Print Jobs.
Releasing your print jobs
- Log in to the printer by either tapping your HuskyCard at the card reader or entering your Michigan Tech account name and password using Alternate Login.
- Select Print Release to display your print jobs.
- Select the job(s) you'd like to print from the queue, then select Print. You can also delete print jobs from the queue by selecting Delete.
Scanning or Copying
- Log in to the printer by either tapping your HuskyCard at the card reader or entering your Michigan Tech account name and password using Alternate Login.
- Select Access Device from the PaperCut welcome screen,
- Select one of the options to either scan or copy.
- Select Email to scan to email
- Select Copy to copy the document
- Select Workflow Scanning to scan to USB
Checking the paper supply
- Log in to the printer by either tapping your HuskyCard at the card reader or entering your Michigan Tech account name and password using Alternate Login.
- Select Access Device. If you have a print job in the queue, do not release it at this time.
- Select Copy.
- Select Paper Supply. You may need to scroll down. The paper tray menu and how much paper is remaining will display.
- Select the Home button.
- Select Print Release to display your print jobs.

Printing in color
Express Cash is used to pay for color printing on HuskyPrint stations. Visit Adding funds to your HuskyCard.
Printing help
Print job shows up at printer but does not print
If you release your job and it is not coming out of the printer, you may need to select the paper size on the printer manually. This often happens when printing PDF documents.
- Log in to the printer by either tapping your HuskyCard at the card reader or entering your Michigan Tech account name and password using Alternate Login.
- Select Print Release to display your print jobs.
- Select the job(s) you'd like to print from the queue, then select Print.
- Select Access Device.
- Select Jobs.
- Select your print job from the list of jobs to view the details. There may be a message that it is held by resources or another error.
- Follow the prompt to select an alternate paper or select the tray. If this is a minimally managed or personal device, update HuskyPrint on your computer before you print again. Visit printing articles for instructions.
Print job does not show up at the printer
- Launch and log in to the PaperCut client before you start printing
- Disconnect from the VPN
- Disable any third-party antivirus on your computer
- Restart your computer
- Contact IT if you need further assistance
Print jobs are faded (Mac)
Xerox changed the default Print Quality setting to Toner Saver in the Mac driver for HuskyPrint. The instructions may vary for different applications. Visit Choose settings in the Print dialog on Mac for more assistance with print settings on a Mac.
- Use the application's print command (ie. File > Print, CMD+P, or Print using the system dialog) to begin the printing process.
- Expand the Printer Options section.
- Select the circle-(i) to the right of the Printer Features or Printer Options drop-down list.
- Change the Print Quality setting to either Standard or Enhanced/High-Resolution.
- Select OK.
- Select Print.
