Installing eduroam on an Android Device

Eduroam shows up on your computers and devices as the wireless SSID “eduroam” when you are within the wireless range of our campus. Eduroam must be an available wireless network to complete the installation.

Please note: During this installation, you will need to install the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool application, which is available in the Google Play and Amazon Appstore.

  1. Select the link to install the eduroamCAT application from the Google Play or Amazon Appstore.

  2. Open a web browser and go to the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool. Select the eduroam user: download your eduroam installer button.

  3. Find and select Michigan Tech in the list of home institutions.

  4. The web page should find the appropriate Android download based on the device you are using. Select the button to begin downloading the installer.

  5. The eduroam CAT application will open. When asked to Install Profile, choose Yes.

  6. When asked to login enter your Michigan Tech username (including the @mtu.edu) and password.
  7. The screen will indicate that the profile is installed and that you are connected. You are now connected to eduroam.
