Web conference support

Michigan Tech IT offers video conferencing and audio conferencing technology to the campus community. We offer training and support in the usage of the campus conference rooms, focusing on the computer systems, and A/V resources.

Currently active faculty, staff, and students have access to paid features with their Michigan Tech Zoom account. Upon leaving the university, your account will switch to a basic plan

Michigan Tech uses Zoom as its main web conferencing application, which combines audio, video, chat and collaboration features in an intuitive and easy-to-use platform. Zoom creates your own personal conference room with a unique code you can send to your attendees. They will be able to view your screen or webcam and hear your audio; they will be able to share theirs in the same way. Additionally, audio and screen sharing can be recorded and viewed later. Zoom is easy to implement, requiring only a Zoom account and an Internet connection.
