Register for Classes

The Register for Classes feature in Student Registration Self Service is used to add or drop classes for a specific term. Follow the steps below to register for your courses.

How to Access

Select the Add/drop Classes link on the Student Registration card in Experience, then click the Register for Classes link on the Student Registration Main Menu.

Step 1: Select a Term

Once in the registration system, start by selecting the term you’re registering for.

Step 2: Choose How You Want to Register

There are three ways to find and register for classes:

  • Find Classes – Search for individual classes by subject, course number, or keyword.
  • Enter CRNs – If you already know the Course Registration Numbers (CRNs), you can enter them directly to register.
  • Use a Plan – If you've created a plan using the Plan Ahead feature, you can register directly from it. (See Student Registration – Plan Ahead for details.)

Option 1: Register Using the Find Classes Tab

Use the Add button to add sections to your registration summary.

Option 2: Register Using CRNs

If you know the CRN for a class, enter it directly and add the course to your registration summary.

Option 3: Register Using a Plan

If you’ve pre-planned your courses, use the Add All button or the Add button next to each individual class in your plan.

Note: If you don’t see the “Add” or “Add All” buttons, your plan may be missing CRNs. Edit your plan to include specific sections.

Final Steps

Once you’ve added your selected courses, regardless of which method you used, click the Submit button to complete your registration.

Check the Registration Summary panel to confirm your status. Successfully registered classes will show as Registered. If there are any issues, an error message will appear to guide you.

Viewing Your Schedule

  • Use the Schedule and Options tab to view or print your class schedule.
  • The schedule panel at the bottom left of the registration screen lets you view your schedule in grid or detailed view.

Handy Tips

Use the small arrows and dot icons to resize and rearrange the registration panels.
Use black dots for adjusting window size

Click on a course title in the search results to view detailed class information.
