Within the Student Registration Self Service portal, you can use the Plan Ahead feature to pre-plan your course schedule. Once you have saved a plan, you can easily transfer those courses directly into your registration request during your enrollment window.
The Plan Ahead section will also pull in any Degree Works Academic Plans you have for the selected term.
Follow the steps below to create your Registration Plan for a specific term.

Select the Plan Ahead link on the Student Registration card in Experience.

Follow the steps below to create your Registration Plan for a specific term.
- From the dropdown menu, select a term.

- Select Create a New Plan.

- Use the search function to find the desired class.

- In the search results, use the View Sections button to add specific sections to your plan using the Add button. Doing so allows you to add all sections from your plan during the registration process.

- Use the Search Again button to continue adding courses to your plan. When you are done, choose the Save button in the lower right corner of your plan panel.
- Name your plan and hit Save.

You can create up to three plans per semester.

Student Registration—Plan Ahead with Degree Works Plans
If you have a plan set up in Degree Works, Student Registration Self Service will pull it into both this Plan Ahead section and Registration when you are ready to register. For more information on how to add plans to Degree Works, see Undergraduate Degree Audit.

Terms open for planning
Select a term and choose Continue.

The Degree Works Academic Plan will be displayed in Student Registration Self Service if you have an Academic Plan in Degree Works (Active and Locked) for the selected term. If you do not have an Academic plan in Degree Works, you will get the message, "Sorry, you do not have any plans for this term".


Note: the Placeholder “Elective” did not pull in, because it is not an actual course. Only actual courses will appear in the plan.
