Google Takeout

Google Takeout is a tool for copying and transferring your files to another Google Account. This can be useful for:

  • Backing up your files from time to time
  • Keeping important files when you graduate, switch schools, or leave for another reason

Students using Google Drive or Google Photos will lose access to those services 120 days after graduation, and all content will be marked for deletion.  Google Takeout provides the ability to keep your content by downloading it or transferring it to another account.

The instructions for using Google Takeout with your Michigan Tech Google account are at: Copy content from your school account to another account

If you have any questions, contact IT at it-help@mtu.edu or call 906-487-1111.
