Michigan Tech owned or managed computer systems must run a supported operating system when connecting to Michigan Tech networks or accessing Michigan Tech data. If an operating system is not listed and is required for research, academic or administrative purposes, the system owner or relevant dean or director must submit an exception request to IT documenting why the unsupported operating system is required, the duration of use, and what will occur at the conclusion of the exception (upgrade, replacement, etc.).
