Description
All information and communication technology (ICT) products or services acquired by Michigan Technological University should be accessible to individuals with disabilities. ICT products or services that have accessibility problems expose the University to risk, increase costs, and may undermine the University’s commitment to accessibility.
Where it is not possible to provide fully accessible technology, an Equally Effective Alternate Access Plan (EEAAP) must be developed to document resources and processes for ensuring access to ICT products and services.
About this document
This EEAAP form is a framework for addressing barriers to access in University-provided technologies. Michigan Tech departments and business units should develop a plan to provide alternate access to inaccessible technologies and engage with developers and vendors to correct accessibility issues.
