How can I get IT help?

Help from Michigan Tech IT is available in the following ways:

Check status of existing tickets and reply to assigned technician

If you have a Michigan Tech account, you can view your ticket requests in the IT Support Center. You can check on the status of your existing tickets and directly contact the technician handling your request.

Complete a service request form

Submit your request through the Service Catalog here in the IT Support Center and it will go directly to the IT team that will handle the request with the information we need to help.

Send an email

Send your request to it-help@mtu.edu.

Call us

Call us at 906-487-1111 during university business hours.

Visit in-person

Visit the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) on the first floor of the Van Pelt and Opie Library. Sign in for assistance, provide any existing ticket numbers, and wait your turn in line for an available technician, especially to properly process any equipment you are picking up or dropping off.

The TAC follows regular university operating hours.

Fall/Spring

Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM

Summer

Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM
