Remote access to office or private lab devices

You can request access to a private office or lab computer, if you have permission. Visit the Related Articles section for instructions on how to connect to the device after you get remote access.

Fully managed

Faculty, staff, and students can request remote access for their fully managed private office or private lab desktops by contacting Michigan Tech IT with the computer name (ex. computername.ad). If it is not your private lab or office desktop, you will need to contact the owner of the device to send in the request on your behalf.

Minimally managed

Please contact the owner or your adviser/group to request access to the device (ex. computername.sabu). The owner or manager of the device will need to send in a ticket to it-help@mtu.edu on your behalf, along with the Michigan Tech asset tag of the device and your Michigan Tech email address.
