PebblePad: Creating a workspace for your Canvas course

To use PebblePad in a Canvas course you need to create a workspace.  Follow these steps to create your workspace:

1. Contact Nancy Barr, nbbarr@mtu.edu, the Global Administrator for PebblePad, who will assign you the role of creator for a particular region where your workspace will be located. For example, a workspace for a Social Sciences course would be located in the Social Sciences region.
2. Click the PebblePad LTI 1.3 link in the Canvas course navigation at the left.
   
3. A new window will open with the PebblePad workspace settings displayed. Confirm that the Title and Description fields are accurate.  They will default to the Canvas course name. Do not change this name.
   
4. Select the appropriate region for your workspace from the drop down menu.
5. Select the Setup mode for the workspace. Do not activate the workspace until you are ready for students to see the contents.
6. Select the option to continue to the workspace area.
7. Click the Finish button to create the new workspace.
