Vital Point of Sale is now known as Ovation Point of Sale (POS).
Add products
- Log into Ovation POS Portal with your credentials (requires your user has the Manager role)
- Click the Point of Sale button
- In the upper right, make sure that the Account 121279 MTU-Tech Express Web is selected

To add a new product
- In the left Navigation select Items.
- Select Item Library.
- Find the section that has the items for your store.
- Select the Actions button.
- Select Add Item.
- Fill out the item form including the:
- Check "Where this Item will appear" and make sure the Item Library Position is set to your store.
- Select Save.
To Add the new Product to your Point of Sale Screen
- In the upper right, change the account to your store.

- In the Left Navigation select Items.
- Select Item Screens.
- Choose the screen you want to put the item on and then click the edit "pencil" icon next to the screen.
- Click the Add button.
- Use the Add Items search bar, or search by product hierarchy to choose the item you wish to add.
- Select Save.
- Log into the Ovation Point of Sale iPad and run a sync to see the new product on the screen.
Using the Ovation POS iPad for Sales
- Log in on the iPad.
- Touch the Ovation POS app.
- Enter your passcode or username and password credentials.
- Touch SALE.
- Choose a product from list or choose MANUAL ENTRY.
- Touch ENTER NAME - type in item (duplication, shipping, etc.)
- Enter in the amount and touch ADD
- When done touch
- Touch CARD.
- Insert or swipe card (If there is a chip, please make sure to insert the card rather than swiping)
- Confirm the amount.
- Remove card.
- Have patron sign.
- Touch NEXT.
- Have patron enter email for a receipt.
- Touch SEND EMAIL.
- Touch COMPLETE SALE.
Refunds
- Touch HISTORY.
- Select the transaction you want to refund and touch FULL REFUND.
- Have patron enter their email for a receipt.
- Touch SEND EMAIL
- Touch COMPLETE SALE
Closing Procedure
Please complete daily at close. Please note: If there have been no sales during the day you will not need to complete this step
- Touch Management.
- Touch CLOSE REGISTER.
