Installing Office 365 on a minimally managed Windows machine

Installation

  1. Open up the Company Portal from the Start Menu.
  2. In the Company Portal, Select Apps on the left side of the window.
  3. You should see Office 365 shown in the list of applications. Select the App and click Install.

  4. This will take some time to download and install. When installation is complete, Office 365 apps will be available from the Start Menu.

Troubleshooting

Enter Product Key Prompt

On first launch of Office 365 applications you may encounter a screen that asks you to enter a product key.

If this occurs, just close the window and relaunch the application.

Office applications are licensed through your MTU account. Office sometimes doesn’t pick up the license from your account on the first launch.
