Installing eduroam on a laptop or tablet (Windows)

eduroam shows up on your computers and devices as the wireless SSID “eduroam” when you are within the wireless range of our campus. eduroam must be an available wireless network to complete the installation.

  1. Open a web browser and go to the Eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool web page. Select the button labeled Click here to download your eduroam installer.
  2. Find and select Michigan Technological University in the list of home institutions.select Michigan Tech University
  3. The web page should find the appropriate Windows download based on the device you are using. Select the download button.
    NOTE: If for some reason it displays an installer that does not match your OS, choose the All platforms link below the download button to list all operating systems; choose the one that matches your computer.

  4. After the download is complete, double click the file to run the installation.

  5. Enter your Michigan Tech account name (including the @mtu.edu) and password and select the Install button.

  6. The installer will run; select Finish to exit the installer. You are now connected to the eduroam wireless network.
