Installing eduroam on a laptop (Mac)

Tags macOS

Eduroam shows up on your computers and devices as the wireless SSID “eduroam” when you are within the wireless range of our campus. Eduroam must be an available wireless network to complete the installation.

  1. Open a web browser and go to the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool web page. Select the eduroam user: download your eduroam installer button.
  2. Search for and select Michigan Technological University in the list of Home Institutions.

  3. The web page should find the appropriate Mac download based on the device you are using. If for some reason it displays an installer that does not match your OS, choose the All platforms link to list all operating systems to choose the one that matches your computer.
  4. The installer will begin to download, followed by a series of windows guiding you through the installation.
  5. When prompted, enter your Michigan Tech email address (including @mtu.edu) and password.
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the installation and connect to the eduroam network.
