Resetting your Banner 8 password

Follow these steps if you've forgotten your Banner 8 password:

  1. Go to: https://www.banweb.mtu.edu/pls/owa/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin?ret_code=9
  2. Log in with your Michigan Tech account name and ISO password.
  3. Enter your new password twice and click "Change Password" button.

Banner 8 Password Guidelines

  • Minimum length of 7 characters. Maximum length of 30 characters.
  • Must contain at least one letter and one digit. The only special character that is allowed is the underscore or "_".
  • The new password cannot be the same as any of the previous four old passwords.
  • Passwords are case sensitive, i.e., an uppercase "A" is not the same as lowercase "a".

Changing your Password in Banner 8

Note: Banner 9 Admin password is your ISO password.
  1. If you know your password but want to change it, you can do it while in Banner 8.
  2. Log in to Banner.
  3. Type GUAPSWD in the Go To... field, OR click on the Change Banner Password link on the right side of the General Menu screen.
  4. Enter your current password.
  5. Enter and verify your new password.
  6. Select Apply Password Change.
