Typically the University purchases business or enterprise-class products, which are specifically engineered and built to last much longer. We are able to streamline the build and support process and in combination with equipment longevity the University saves money and staff time.
Departmental users are still able to purchase equipment from other vendors but will experience delays in the build and support process because it falls outside of IT’s standards.
