How to purchase and refund Top Dog Meal Plans

A Top Dog Meal Plan is an option that is available for departments, students, staff, and faculty who do not have an unlimited meal plan or block meal plan. When you add Top Dog to your HuskyCard or department meal card, you are purchasing a set number of entries into one of the three Dining Halls - DHH, McNair, or Wadsworth with all-you-can-eat, buffet-style dining.

Purchasing Top Dog meals

Current students and employees can purchase Top Dog meals for their HuskyCard if they do not have an unlimited meal plan. Michigan Tech internal departments can add them to a department meal card. Top Dog meals do not expire. For current prices please visit the Dining Services Website.

Using Top Dog meals

When you visit a dining hall, please let the meal podium attendant that you have a Top Dog meal plan and present your HuskyCard or Meal Card.

Refunds

Students and employees

We only issue refunds if you are permanently leaving the university, since the meals do not expire. You can request a full refund check of your Express Cash account or Top Dog meal account. 

Please send an email to it-help@mtu.edu from your Michigan Tech email account, including a mailing address.We will deactivate the Top Dog meal plan and submit a check request to send to the provided address, which will take approximately 2-3 weeks for you to receive.

Department meal cards

Top Dog meals for department meal cards are non-refundable.
