Using a meal or special access card

Michigan Tech internal departments may request certain cards, including cards for special access, meals, recreation facilities, and identification badges. If you are looking for an SDC Membership card or Student Spouse/Dependent card, please contact the Central Ticket Office at 906-487-2073. If you are looking to obtain a HuskyCard, and you are an active student, staff, or faculty, please visit the Technical Assistance Center.

Meal cards

Michigan Tech internal departments can request a meal card using the Request Special Card Printing form. Please provide an account index (for the $10 card printing fee and the cost of Top Dog meals), the name or group name to place on the card, and the number of Top Dog meals to add to the card. Please visit the HuskyEats - Meal Plans for the cost of meals. Top Dog meals for meal cards are non-refundable.

Adding meals

Michigan Tech internal departments may add Top Dog meals to existing cards by emailing IT with the account index (for the cost of Top Dog meals), the number of Top Dog meals to add, and the PIK number on the front of the meal card.

We can only place Top Dog meals on meal cards, not Express Cash. If you would like to use an account index to request a card for on-campus purchases, departments can complete the Dining Service Gift Cards form. Please contact Dining Services for more information.

Balance inquiries

Michigan Tech internal departments may inquire about the Top Dog meal balance by emailing IT on an existing meal card from IT with the department or group name and the PIK number on the front of the meal card.

Special access cards

Michigan Tech internal departments can request a special access card using the Request Special Card Printing form. Please provide an account index (for the $10 card printing fee), the name or group name to place on the card, access requested for which locations (buildings, doors, patron access groups), expiration date for access, and other important information regarding the card.
