Gradescope - Getting Started

This article outlines how an instructor can login and set up a new course in Gradescope.

1. Go to Gradescope.com
2. Select the Log in option at the top of the page.
   
3. A menu option will appear allowing you to select how you want to log in to Gradescope.
4. Select the School Credentials option.
   
5. Find Michigan Tech Username in the list of schools. This will bring you to the Michigan Tech login page for Gradescope.  Login with your Michigan Tech account name and password.
6. An account will automatically be created for you the first time you log into Gradescope using the School Credentials option.
7. Once you are logged in, you will be on the Gradescope Dashboard Page.  You can 'create a new course' by selecting the +Create a new course option.
   
8. Enter the details of your course on the Create Your Course page and select Create Course. It is recommended that you select a Gradescope course name that is similar to the Canvas course name.
   
9. The course will now appear on the Gradescope Dashboard.  It is recommended that you link your Gradescope course to your Canvas course.  Please refer to the article on Linking a Canvas course to a Gradescope course for details.
