Using Google Cloud Print from your Chromebook, Android, or iOS device

CloudPrint will no longer be available starting December 31. 2020.

To use Google Cloud Print you need these three things

  1. A Google account (You will need to ensure you are signed into your "@mtu.edu" Google account.)
  2. A computer or device capable of running Google Chrome.
  3. Access to printers capable of printing to Cloud Print. Michigan Tech IT has shared the HuskyBW and HuskyColor printers to students, staff, and faculty.  By default these printers should be accessible to anyone in these groups.

Chromebook

If you are on a Chromebook and are signed into your Michigan Tech email, Google Cloud Print should work out of the box.  HuskyBW and HuskyColor printers should be available for you.  You can find more information at Print with Google Cloud Print.

Android Devices

If you are on an Android device and are signed into your Michigan Tech email, Google Cloud Print should work out of the box.  HuskyBW and HuskyColor printers should be available for you.  You can find more information on using Google Cloud Print on Android Devices at Google Support.

iOS Devices

If you have an iOS device, you can print from any Google app provided you are logged into your "@mtu.edu" Google account.

App Compatibility

Not all apps are compatible with Google Cloud Print, so if you are trying to print from an app provided by someone other than Google, first check the Google app compatibility site to see if the app is compatible.
