Submitting a Ticket for IT Help

Note: If you are encountering complications with logging in to Service Desk, try clearing your cache and/or opening Service Desk in an incognito window. 

You can submit a ticket through the ServiceDesk Plus portal, in addition to getting IT help by phone (dial 906-487-1111), by email (, or in-person at the Technical Assistance Center in the Library.

How to Submit a Ticket

Michigan Tech IT uses the ServiceDesk Plus software to record and process all your IT support requests. You can directly enter a ticket into ServiceDesk Plus. This requires you to login with your Michigan Tech credentials.  You can submit your request by following these instructions:

  1. Select Request Catalog from the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner of the screen.

  2. Choose the category from the list that best represents your issue or simply choose New Issue from the bottom of the list.
  3. Fill out the form. Required fields are noted with red asterisks (*).

  4. Select Add Request near the bottom of the screen to complete your request and send it to IT.
